ISA

The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee as the World Governing Authority for Surfing. ISA membership includes the surfing National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of 64 countries on six continents.
The ISA has partnered with World Surfing Reserves to help promote the WSR initiative and the importance of surf spot protection through its NGBs around the world. NGBs also provide valuable data on regional surf spots as well as threats, and in some instances nominate sites for WSR consideration.
